Ordering On DottieDigitals.com

We sell digital downloads in the form of SVG, DXF and PNG files to use with vinyl cutters and sublimation printers. We also sell digital paper/seamless repeat patterns in the forms of JPG and PAT files.

SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphic. This means it can be resized to any size without loss of quality, commonly used in vinyl, laser and die cutting machines. Please check with your programme to see what files are compatible.

PNG stands for Portable Network Graphic. Great for working on computers and software. All files have transparent backgrounds.

DXF stands for Drawing Exchange Format. These files are useful for CNC, some laser cutting programmes and vinyl cutters such as Silhouette.

Our files are designed specifically to be used as cutting files. Our SVG files can be used on most vinyl cutters and their programmes e.g. Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, Make the Cut, Sure-cuts-alot and many more. Please check with your programme to see which files are compatible.

Downloading Your Files & Managing Your Account

You do not need to create an account to download, you can download as a guest. Simply, checkout using the cart button. Fill in the required fields and click to download. This will download to the chosen location on your computer e.g. desktop.

However, creating an account makes ordering and downloading files simpler. It also provides you with a “my orders” section for you to keep track of previous orders and re-download if you need to.

You can create an account (see the My Account link at the top of the page) to see your previous orders and download your files at any time as many times as you like. You can also update your account details and change your password etc!

If you have any problems logging into your account, please use the “forgot password” at the bottom of the log in page or email us and we will try and help to recover your account.

If you have purchased from my Etsy store you will need to download your files from Etsy. If you are struggling to do so please contact me on there.

Using Your Files

All my files are compressed/zipped for quicker upload/downloading purposes. All you need to do is unzip the file and they are ready to use.  Simply right click the zip folder, press ‘extract’ and your downloads should unzip.

Sometimes depending on your computer settings you might see the SVG file appear as a HTML file. You can use the HTML file as you would normally use the SVG.

SVG files appear as HTML files when there is no suitable program selected as default or installed on your Windows or Mac to view or edit SVG’s but don’t worry the HTML file will work fine with any cutting program.

All my files come with a commercial licence meaning you can sell as many physical products using the design as you like. I don’t allow the reselling of the digital file itself in any way.

Our files cannot be shared, re-sold or manipulated. This includes uploading the designs to print-on-demand sites such as Redbubble and Tee Spring or uploaded / stored on to any website server. If you are unsure please contact us before purchase.

I always pre-size my cup files however, sometimes when the file is taken into the cutting programme these measurements are lost. This is why on all of my cup wraps and Libbey can wraps I include a measurements document. This should be a named TEXT document called: (NAMEOFTHEDESIGN) MEASUREMENTS.

Don’t worry if you see an ‘unsupported file’ message in design space just make sure you have unzipped the file and are using the SVG file (or HTML file).

If you can’t see the different layers down the side of Design Space double check you are using the SVG file not the PNG file. The SVG may show up on your computer as a HTML file depending on your computer settings. If the SVG shows as a HTML just drag the HTML file in and it will work as it is actually the SVG.
